"The Friendly Club"

It was a sad 2006 for PDMC as the club lost Gordon Riddle, one of it's most respected and valued members after a long battle with Leukaemia. The previous committee was determined to honour Gordon with more than a simple life membership and thus decided to create a new category of competition award for the Club. Gordon, being of English decent, was passionate about all things British so the committee thought it fitting to create the "Gordon Riddle Trophy" for the best British subject. This perpetual trophy is to be awarded to the highest scoring British subject entered into the competitions throughout the year.

WASMEx 2007

WASMEx 2007 was held on the 8th - 9th of September and proved to be a very successful event. There were more vendors attending this year as well, with Southern Sky Models, City Models, Burfitt Craft and Hobby Tools and Stanbridges amongst the local businesses There were two interstate businesses as WASMEx this year, those being Empire Hobbies and Adelaide moulding and casting supplies.

Congratulations to all those club members who achieved places in this years competition, especially Richard Evans with his large scale Australian Army Centurion and Kelly Jones who entered a miniature figure in the Junior section.

Thanks goes out to all the club members who helped set up and man the stand. You all know who you are and you all helped showcase our club over the weekend. There was a lack of model cars on the table this year, which disappointed some of the regular show goers.
